James Riley
James Riley has been able to juggle corporate and family life with some remarkable running achievements. He is a qualified running coach and the founder of Run Unbound.
Let’s start with some of those achievements. Highlights include:
Three sub 2:40marathons,
The Bob Graham Round (all 106 km and 8,200m of ascent),
Numerous trail and ultra events, including the Ultra Trail Lavaredo, the Three Peaks and Snowdon races,
Completing both of the 100 mile races he's entered with a top ten finish.
He’s not done yet though. He has his sights set on yet more marathon efforts and a solo Paddy Buckley Round.
James is a qualified running coach and the founder of Run Unbound. It provides personalised and collaborative coaching services, running advice, ideas and inspiration, meaning we can all now benefit from his experiences and mindset, whatever our goals and lifestyle.
He's also passionate about the need for runners to strength train and works with world-class strength coach Alex Wolf on Soar Today making personalised elite strength and conditioning available to everybody.
James is ideal for taking Q&A from any corporate audience having sat at the same desks, caught (and missed!) the same trains and been subjected to the same client deadlines and work pressures for more than two decades. The thoughtful advice he’d naturally give to colleagues (ranging from beginners to “weekend warriors” to more serious - but still recreational - athletes) over this period means that he’s been unwittingly coaching office workers for years!
